Images of selected marble and sandstone slabs built into the exterior walls of the Middle Byzantine church Panagia Gorgoepikoos or Mikri Mitropoli in the centre of Athens, Greece. Mixed film/photo/graphics technique. From the project 'Panagia Gorgoepikoos' by Åsa Lie & Jadran Sturm 1991-93, Athens, Greece. With the support of Konstnärsnämnden/The Swedish Art Council (3 months in residence grant), a grant from the Swedish embassy in Athens and the Natsios family.

The exhibition"Panagia Gorgoepikoos" in 2021, with performance-lectures by Samuel Hus, Ekaterina Vorontsova, Melanie Weill and Raf Wollaert, also included an exhibition catalogue with the origional texts and images by Åsa Lie & Jadran Sturm from 1993. Click here for the event page.
